SACLA 2022 will be hosted at the Protea Hotel by Mariott Cape Town Waterfront Breakwater Lodge on 21 and 22 July 2022. All sessions will be run in-person and delegates are expected to travel to the venue to participate in conference activities.

Breakwater Lodge lies within the historic Victoria and Alfred Waterfront precinct at the heart of Cape Town's tourism industry. The facility is based around a converted historic prison built in the 1860s to house British Convicts working on the breakwater. Today, it boasts an array of amenities including a state of the art conference centre, gym and spa. It is also home to the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business.

Breakwater Lodge offers several different accommodation options ranging from twin-studio rooms to two bedroom family rooms. Visit the website for more information and to book.

For delegates not wishing to stay at the conference hotel, there are many options available within the V&A Waterfront precinct at a variety of price levels.

There are also many other hotels, guest houses, bed and breakfasts as well as short term rental properties available in the surrounding neighbourhoods of Green Point and Sea Point. Additionally, there are numerous hotels at multiple price levels in the Cape Town City Bowl. These options are a little further away from the V&A and guests will either need a vehicle, or make use of public transport facilities. The Cape Town metro bus system, MyCity, has a bus stop outside the conference hotel. Visitors to Cape Town should be aware that there is sometimes difficulty with Uber for short trips.
